ROW – REHAB ON WHEELS
“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime”.
ROW – Rehabs on Wheels
How do we identify the right ones for each initiative?
Case studies are done on each of the individuals (women & children). Children who are academically challenged and are consistent poor performers and women who need to restart and rebuild their lives single handedly are evaluated based on three parameters – potential, interest and inherent skills. They are allocated into categories of various vocational training programs such as culinary, tailoring, driving, and caregivers. The benefits of undergoing these training programs are explained and reinstated in detail by a counselor, who also helps them decide and make a choice. Thereafter, they are handed over to the respective project teams (TOW – Tailor on Wheels / KOW – Kitchen on Wheels / POW – Parlor on Wheels / Driving Schools / etc.,). Step-by-step they are taken through a focused program comprising of skill-set training, workshops, evaluation and guidance. When the trainer finds them to be ready, a practical exam is administered to verbally certify them in their chosen vocation. All these programs are conducted in-house.
At the present time, all of these women are stationed at different locations and there is no accountability for the time and safety. Thus Saviors of Souls, intend to start an initiative where all the women that are rescued can work safely under one banner as well as get reimbursed sufficiently and permanently.
